My apartment is located in a quite & relaxing neighborhood in the middle of Berlin and it is within short walking distance to all hotspots and places, restaurants and shopping boutiques. 72 sqm, top floor with elevator, country house/cottage interiour, 1br, balcony from where u can see the whole west part of the city including Kurfuerstendamm, Memorial Church and stuff :) The location of my apartment is perfect for tourists, because its super well connected with public transport (oh btw, u could use my chrysler jeep if u want) and like I said its near KuŽdamm one of europeans most famous and longest shopping streets. I mean, if u wanna stay in a fancy, super-duper (for my opinion) TOO creative district then u should better look for some place at Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg - but to me thats not typical Berlin, maybe it is, one side of it, but for me its enough to spend like a day there - its really nice but abit over the top. if someone moves to berlin, most of them move to prenzlauer berg 'cause they think its the place to be ... I dont know how to describe it ... its just not chill and cool anymore ... because people TRY to be chill and cool and creative ... ya know what I mean?!
Anyways:
Everything u need is just around the corner: public transport (underground, bus, s-bahn, regionaltrain), grocery stores, shopping, cafes, beautiful restaurants, gay life, parks!
I also have wifi (internet).
No need to say Berlin is the perfect operating base to discover Europe. Trains to Warsaw (5-6 hours, one way starting 29 Euro), Amsterdam (6 hours, 39 Euro), Paris (11 hours, 70 Euro), Prag (4 1/2 hours, 29 Euro), Copenhagen (7 hours, 60 Euro) Vienna (9 hours, 49 Euro). I think you've got the picture :-)
